About Zinc-Coated Unions
These unions are electro-zinc plated and are available in Steel-Steel, Steel-Bronze, and Bronze-Bronze seats with Female-Female and Male-Female end connections.
This process gives a complete coating both externally and internally which protects the pipe union at the thread and vital seating areas.
They are particularly suitable where there is condensation, such as in air and gas lines.
The zinc coating also gives an outside protective coating against rust when exposed to the atmosphere. (The Steel-Steel zinc-coated union is an ideal union suitable for most applications where vibration and moisture are present, such as compressed airlines and railway braking systems)
